Gantry scrap metal shear is popular in China. Its blade width is larger than the Scrap Metal Shear With Side Compression because it does not press the scrap metal before shearing, it can shear larger size scrap metal, iron sheet, etc. Gantry scrap metal shear has the feeding tank of scrap metal, but the tank just has the storage function without pressing function. Shearing force of gantry scrap metal shear is from 350T to 2500T, much bigger than scrap metal shear with side compression and inclined metal scrap shear, it means that it can cut thicker iron sheet, scrap metal, etc.

Chinese steel plants need high-density scrap bale to save cost(Furnace tank size is fixed, if the raw material has higher density, it will save more cost for melting one furance tank raw material). The scrap metal after shearing by scrap metal shear with side compression does not meet the high density requirement by steel plant, so they use scrap metal baler to press the scrap metal after shearing，therefore Chinese market choose the gantry scrap metal shear without pressing function.
